OLA Board of Directors & Division Council Elections

Nominations due NOVEMBER 15th

Representation on your division council is a great opportunity to network, learn and be involved with the broader issues and initiatives of the Ontario library community with other colleagues from around the province.  

 The OLA Board of Directors and division councils each meets four (4) times a year for full day meetings in March, June, September and November at the OLA office in Toronto.

The following positions are open for nominations for the upcoming term commencing January 1st, 2013:

OLA Board of Directors

  1. Vice President/ President Elect (3 year term)

  2. Treasurer (2 year term)

ABO-Franco Division

If you are interested in nominating a colleague or yourself for a division Vice President/President Elect position, we would like to ensure you are aware of the additional responsibilities/opportunities attached to this position. The division Vice President/President Elect for each division includes representation on the OLA Board of Directors as a Board of Director for the first two years of the three-year term. The obligation of this position is to attend 4(four) all day division council meetings as the VP/President Elect for the division and  the additional 4 (four) all day Board of Director meetings as an OLA Board Member.

Please note: OLBA, OPLA & OSLA elect councillors by geographic region. OSLA combines the two northern regions as one council position.
