Knowledge Ontario Matters!


In 1999, OLA members developed a vision for transforming the lives of Ontarians through equitable access to information resources and services from Ontario's libraries. The vision, previously named the Ontario Digital Library, became a reality in 2007 when Knowledge Ontario was incorporated. We collectively have accomplished something truly remarkable. However, in 2012, after more than two years of seeking alternative funding strategies and not being able to secure a long-term future for the Knowledge Ontario vision, the Board decided to pursue an alternative strategy and to find homes for each of the viable services.
