OLA Volunteer Recognition - Members Making a Difference!
The Ontario Library Association (OLA) relies on its member volunteer to successfully implement many of the programs and events offered throughout the year.
Did you know?
- OLA has over 500 volunteer members engaged in different committees, councils, projects and events throughout the year!
- There are 66 volunteer members who sit on Divisional Councils and the Board of Directors.
- The Super Conference Planning Team consists of 25 volunteer members.
- 165 volunteer members sit on Forest of Reading® committees & 130 volunteer members help with the events in three cities around the province!
- We had 118 Student Volunteers (from university/college library programs) assist with Super Conference 2012.
- Well over 60 volunteer members are actively involved in numerous ongoing committees. (Advocacy, Mentoring, Children & Youth, Reader’s Advisory, Best Bets, Human Library, Pop-up, TL Editorial Board, ETC!).
In this section we will be recognizing some of our volunteers who either have been or are currently contributing to the association. We could not do what we do without you! Thank you to the many many OLA Volunteers and their dedication to the association!
