OLITA acknowledges and appreciates the support of OCLC Canada for their sponsorship of the OLITA Award for Technological Innovation 


The Ontario Library and Information Technology Association recognizes annually the best example of technological innovation entered in one of the following categories: 

library users

Applications that primarily benefit the library user.

library operations

Applications that are cost beneficial in the operation of the library and primarily benefit staff.

partnership

Technological innovations demonstrating partnerships and strategic alliances with industry, the community and other institutions.

leadership

For overall leadership in the application of technology in libraries.

Eligibility

  • Libraries may submit an application for more than one category.
  • Nominations may be made by the library or by others.
  • All projects must be operational.
  • Libraries must be operating within the Province of Ontario.
  • Award winners are announced at the annual Super Conference.
