2017 Award Recipient

 TeachOntario

TVO in Partnership with the Ontario Teachers' Federation and affiliates, and the
Ontario Ministry of Education.

Teach Ontario has reminded the participants in Ontario’s education system that school libraries are important; that the people who run school libraries are needed, that the elements of a library learning commons (integrated technology, choice, critical thinking, flexible and equitable access) are achievable. Teach Ontario really believes in building a community of educators, and even financed visits by teacher-librarians to meet preservice teachers at faculties of education to again emphasize the importance of school libraries.
