Ontario Public Library Week: October 20 - 26, 2019

October is Canadian Library Month! During this month, libraries and library partners across Canada raise awareness of the valuable role libraries play in Canadians' lives.

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN DATES FOR 2019: The dates for Ontario Public Library Week will shift to October 20 to October 26, 2019, as the third week of October falls on the Thanksgiving holiday weekend this year.

In Ontario, the first week of October features First Nations Public Library Week, and the third week of October is Ontario Public Library Week. (If the third week of October falls on a statutory holiday, OPLW will be held the following week.)

Ontario Library Association (OLA) is excited to be the provincial coordinator for Ontario Public Library Week. As the coordinator, OLA provides public libraries and public library supporters with various promotional resources for Ontario Public Library Week. OLA also organizes the OPLW launch event and facilitates the OPLW contest using #oplw.

This webpage will be updated in summer 2019 with more information on Ontario Public Library Week. For questions and comments, please contact communications@accessola.com.
