About this Session:
This session will talk about the Culture Days weekend and the ways that Ontario libraries can participate in the event, taking place this year on September 27-29. The webinar will outline the 2019 theme of Creativity, the Arts and Well-being, as well as a variety of ways that libraries can take part in Culture Days, including programming strategies and examples of past events.
Participants will learn:
1) What is Culture Days and is it a good fit for your library
2) What is the annual theme and how can you link it to Culture Days programming
3) Resources, tips and programming examples to get ideas flowing
About the Presenter:
Meaghan Froh Metcalf is the Outreach and Programs Manager with Ontario Culture Days. She has held positions at a variety of cultural institutions within Alberta and Ontario including the Art Gallery of Alberta and the Town of Oakville. Meaghan has been a part of the Culture Days team since 2017. Meaghan acquired her Master of Museum Studies at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in History at Queen’s University. She is passionate about public programming and visitor research within the museum sector.
