Academic Curbside Pickup: Continuing the Conversation

Academic Curbside Pickup: Continuing the Conversation

Date & Time:

Friday May 22, 2020 at 1-2pm Eastern

Many businesses and public libraries have launched curbside pickup services as the new face of service delivery in the era of Covid-19. What does this concept look like in an academic setting? What are the key questions to consider, and how do you develop an effective, safe, and achievable plan for sharing print resources and other loanables? Join us as Jennifer Robinson, Associate Chief Librarian with Western Libraries, shares the plan she’s developed for contact-free curbside service. We’ll discuss options, changes to staff practices, how to use existing tools and mechanisms, and how keep it simple. Ideas? Concerns? Questions? Let’s learn from, and be inspired by, each other.
