The Golden Oak Award™ - Retired
From 2003 to 2018, the Golden Oak Award™ reading program provided a unique opportunity for
new readers in adult literacy programs to read books chosen specifically
for them. They read the books by themselves, with their tutors, or
as part of a reading group. This program helped new adult readers to gain
the skills to accomplish everyday tasks, as well as foster the love of
reading.
The last award was given in June 2018 and then this tree was retired.
